Romerhusene (meaning "Roman Houses) is a housing estate in Helsingør, Denmark, which was designed by architect Jørn Utzon - the same guy that designed the Sydney Opera House. Built between 1957-61, the estate bears little resemblance to the masterpiece Utzon would go on to create - inspired by the town houses of Pompeii (hence the name), each of the 60 small houses has a square walled garden and an L shaped living area. The houses gained protected status in 1987.

Shot for Danish magazine Euroman.
